I'm a wife to a wonderful husband for over 16 years now.  I have two boys and one girl.   I'm originally from Long Island NY.  I have always been an artist. Even through out my childhood I had a consistent interest in, and love of art.  In high school I had the privilege of membership in the National Art Honor Society. Being an artist was a dream of mine since I was a young girl. Later I attended college for Advertising Art and Design.  This almost killed my love of art.   Too much structure and not enough creative freedom.   So I took some time away from art.  

I'm a lover of nature, this is why I love to live in the country.  My favorite color is the Rainbow.  I don't like just one color.  but I just adore them all when they are side by side in the sky.  My favorite happy food is Chocolate - Yummy!  And I am not  into dramma.  (on TV it's fine but in my life - No thanks)

In 1992, after moving to Califorina, a girlfriend and I started our own custom made hair accessories business.  It was a fun pass time.  I created my own wedding accessories in 1993. Then I became a mom and everything was great.  Later after moving to Massachusetts & having our second son, I started to feel the desire to be creative again.  The juices began flowing when I created the bridal accessories for my nieces wedding in 2000.  Everything came out so pretty and my family & friends kept telling me I should sell my creations.   There was nothing unique in the wedding industry.  Everything was either white, ivory or light blue.  So I decided that I could contribute something artful and unique. I opened my business toward the end of 2000 and have been creating custom made wedding garters & accessories professionally ever since. 

Being a custom garter designer is fun and exciting because I get to see so many personalities being brought out in this small yet artful wedding accessory. It has been my pleasure to serve the brides of Wedding Wire, The KNOT, Live journal, Long Island weddings, Ultimate weddings, Wedding Bee, and so many more!! I love variety so being able to create custom orders from scratch is right up my alley. It keeps me vibrant and alive, with new orders coming in all the time. I never push my preferences or style on my brides.  For me it's all about the client - what do they want?  What style fits their personality?  Then I create something that suits them perfectly.  It's so great when I get clients who tell me what they are imagining and I can help to make it happen.

If you come to me I will try to work with you in any way I can. If you have a sentimental item to incorporate, you are welcome to send it to me for the creation of your garter or other bridal accessory. Some brides want a garter made from their mothers wedding dress. Or others would like a fun garter in a material they have on hand. If you'd like to do the same, you are more than welcome to send me your fabric.

It is the trust that each of my lovely clients has put in me to create their unique bridal accessory, that I have been able to grow my website portfolio. Each item I create, is added to my online portfolio (The CustomWeddingGarters website). I cater to each order MYSELF. I am the artist and will not pass creative works onto any other person.

When you come to HCC you will communicate with one person - me. I am the owner and manager of HCC Garters / Hand-Crafted Creations. I thank God for blessing me with a husband and lovely family. It is a dream come true for me to be able to work and still have the flexibility to be available for them. I am truly grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to serve you all in this creative and customized manor.
